Adwords is the marketing program behind the Sponsored Links sections on the right hand column (and sometimes above the left) of Google. Yahoo! and MSN have similar programs. Sponsored links are Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ads that show up when people search for keywords your specify. If nobody clicks your ad, you pay nothing.

Getting a Return On your PPC Investment (ROI) requires:

  1. savvy keyword choices and bids
  2. click-compelling ads, and
  3. action-inspiring landing pages (where the ads click to).

This workshop will be followed by an optional three-week online course, Intro to Adwords, offered free to attendees ($100 to others). This course is facilitated by PPC Tarmac consultants.

Reviews for PPC ROI: Getting Adwords Right

I didn’t have a clue when it came to advertising my business on the internet—and my background is in marketing! That all changed after an “Internet Marketing Workshop” given by Bram Moreinis, Principal of PPC Tarmac.Bram never talked “down” to his audience. Whenever he said, “Okay, how many of you have I lost?” no hands were raised. I had fully expected to leave feeling very confused and overwhelmed with technical jargon. Instead, I felt I had a good grasp of everything that was discussed.

I learned about an aspect of marketing on the web that I was unfamiliar with and how important it could be. Interesting - understanding the difference and definitions between PPC and SEO.

- Jaime Butler, IEC

Bram's unending source of knowledge and his ability to present this at any given time is very impressive and very scary. I am representing SCORE when I thank Bram for all of his help. Thank you for volunteering last year to do a Workshop. We have referenced your company many times and hopefully people have followed up for continued help and support.

I really like how you teach. You provided people with tools to better understand what SEO/SEM is all about. By giving people the knowledge, they can better understand the depth of the undertaking - and then decide, ""Hey! I want to learn how to do this myself!"" or "Hmmm... good to know this stuff but I need to turn this over to someone who is more interested and skilled." That's the best way to do business - give people the info they need, be honest, and let them decide.

I would like to consult with you regarding my website, and if it is within my budget, get the help/boost from a pro like yourself! I always try to do as much as I can regarding my business, but time has really been a factor/issue lately. I thought it was a very good introduction and start to learning more. It stirred up interest and helped to get myself and others to understand how this internet marketing works, or can work.

- Tarryl Gabriel, Tarryl Fine Art

The presentation was interesting and informative, and I learned some interesting bits of information. This was a really good program to obtain a basic understand of internet marketing and my time was well spent.

I am interested in learning more about landing pages and how to get the people that come to the site to make some kind of decision. Even if it is just downloading some information. The class was good. It was new information and I think some assignments with some kind of application would help it to make more sense (at least for me). So I like the follow up instruction idea.
